Looking at this design, you clearly have the question: “Where is Biodesign here?” We should not forget that nature is also different and has such sides as, for example, the Pacific lamprey….

A sea lamprey.

I understand, you may have a question, what do you have in common between just not a very good car and fish? However, look closely at both Skoda and Audi; first of all, a closed circular design of the front is visible. And small diodes that resemble fish teeth. Yes, the trend is not very good, and I would strongly insist on abandoning the design of worms from “Dune“.

Conclusion:

Currently, automakers are moving in two directions: Retro design and a tribute to traditions and super modern experiments with non-standard design. Both directions have their pros and cons. However, in my opinion, it is better not to check people’s reactions and turn to the old traditions of your brand that have been tested over the years.

  1. You are absolutely right! A car should be beautiful first and foremost! Let’s remember Alfa Romeo, Maserati and even old Golfs from the era of Italian design – they all remain beautiful despite fashion (trends). You cannot create a design solely with an eye on fashion – it passes, and beauty, no matter how it was, will never appear…
