New Nissan Silvia 2026: the king returns

Silvia wasn’t just a car — it was Japan’s quiet rebellion against the idea that beauty had to shout.

It began in 1965 with the CSP311, a hand-built coupe so rare only 554 were made. It looked more European than Japanese — a polite nod to style rather than speed. But by the 1970s, with the S10, Silvia started to stretch her legs. She was still finding herself, unsure if she wanted to be elegant or just practical.

Then came the 80s — and the legend truly woke up. The S12 flirted with turbocharging, but the S13 became the icon: lightweight, rear-wheel drive, perfectly balanced. It was a driver’s car, simple and honest. The S14 added muscle without losing grace, and finally, the S15 (1999–2002) perfected the formula — smooth lines, precise handling, the kind of car that whispered speed instead of screaming it.

And then… silence. Nissan buried Silvia under a pile of crossovers and marketing slides. The world moved on — but the fans never did.

New Nissan Silvia 2026:

Well, what are we reviving a car that, for some reason, was not revived, which remained in the shadow of the GTR and Nissan Z. However, Silvia had no less history of popularity and legend, but it was not revived; it died, but even the Nissan Z, which had a much shorter history, was revived. So we decided to take this burden on ourselves. The result? A car that combines: a long hood and square shapes (s11 s-s12), headlights (s13-s15) and the solutions of the new sports Nissan (thank God it’s not X-trail). Also, the Silvia S16, in the opinion of AI, can be more futuristic and resemble the Hyundai Vision 74 in general. Thus, we were given a variety of design options for the legend that was not returned.
